Viperial operates from the same IP address as audiocastle (above) and a new service im1music.co that came on line in April of 2015.  All three sites operate in much the same manner.  Their lists of albums and tracks available for streaming and download are almost identical and they all store the files on dopefile.com—frequently linking to the exact same URLs.  The music it offers includes not only recently released and popular music but also albums not yet commercially released.  As in the case of Audiocastle, viperial professes to honor copyright owners’ requests to remove material, but these requests have no practical effect as the content is constantly reposted.  The RIAA has sent nearly 160,000 URLs for removal to viperial, and the Google Transparency Report documents the removal of over 270,000 viperial search results from their index.  The movement from a .com to a .co to the current .me domains appear calculated to frustrate the demotion effect resulting from the reporting of URLs on viperial to Google.  Finally, like audiocastle, files available through viperial were made available through sharebeast.com until that site was seized by the Justice Department, and all file were moved to dopefile.com

Viperial has a global Alexa ranking of 27,685.   SimilarWeb traffic data show that the site is averaging 4.7 million visits a month with 60% of that traffic coming from the United States.

vKontakte is the most popular online social network in Russia and is also available to a wider international audience in many languages including English.  It has in excess of 80 million registered users. Web monitoring companies report that 35 million unique Russian users visit the site every month. Alexa ranks the site as the 20^th most popular site worldwide and the 2^nd most popular site in Russia. According to public reports, London-listed Russian internet company, Mail.ru is the sole owner of the company.  

The site’s music functionality enables users to upload and share music and video files via profile pages, which include hundreds of thousands of unlicensed copyright works.  Its dedicated music service enables all other members of VK to search for and instantly stream infringing content uploaded by any other user, giving VK an unfair competitive edge over other social networks that do not offer free access to unlicensed material, as well as over licensed music platforms.   

vKontakte’s ongoing facilitation of piracy causes very substantial damage.  First, artists and record companies are seeing virtually their entire repertoire made available to the public without permission or payment.  Second, the infringements give vKontakte an unfair advantage over the 14 licensed music services in Russia, such as iTunes, Google Music, Deezer Trava.ru (Megafon) and Yandex. Music, which pay for the music they use, greatly undermining the market penetration of licensed services in the woefully underperforming Russian market.  Third, it also causes unfair competition to legitimate services outside of Russia to the extent users outside of Russia turn to the mobile apps connected to the service rather than legitimate sources to stream or download our members’ music.

At least two courts in Russia have found vKontakte Ltd. responsible for copyright infringement of sound recordings. First, in a copyright infringement litigation brought by Russian record label Gala Records against vKontakte Ltd, the courts found that the site’s operators had failed to take reasonable measures in response to notices from copyright owners, and ordered some limited compensation for infringements of specific repertoire.  Second, in an infringement proceeding brought by Sony Music Russia, Universal Music Russia and Warner Music UK Limited, the court of first instance handed down decisions ‎in the Universal and Warner cases on 28 September 2015, requiring vKontakte to implement effective technical measures to prevent Warner and Universal’s sound recordings from being uploaded to vKontakte. At the time of writing the court had only given a brief oral judgment, with written judgment to follow.

Even though apolitical, its has support of major opposition parties in Malaysia. It has also conducted rallies in 2007, 2011 and 2012 for different political issues. As stated on their website, they strive to be non partisan. Many malaysians have been visiting this site thru proxy, due to current blockades, under the premise that it is spreading unrest, But the actual blockade is nothing but pure form of censorship. The Site

Filecrop2.com, former Filecrop.com is a specialized kind of search engine that uses complex algorithms to scour the web for the appropriate content and mega files that the users can visit to download. The website contains thousands of links to different websites and forums that contain the requested or most desired content on the web. Filecrop2 has a very basic design and lacks some of the advance features that can make searching for the required files far easier.

Functionality

The unique logo and trending downloads on the homepage give a general sense of the files that are being most downloaded by the users. The homepage contains a tab for the most recent links that are updated on the site, which I thought was very handy but would have been more helpful if properly categorized. The top portion of the homepage is dominated by a search bar that can be used to search for different types of content. Navigation wise the site does not have many different links and the search results also don’t require jumping to a lot of pages in order to get to the download link. Filecrop2 does not provide the users with advanced search options like file size, category and date uploaded to make the results more meaningful. Instead the users are provided with a results query that is rather broad and often does not match the needed file. It is extremely important for the search engines to have a filtering ability that can ensure the users are not misguided by downloading links that contain wrong files. Furthermore, the search results are not properly sorted either which makes it harder for the users to find the most appropriate link. I had better success with finding books and Smartphone apps as compared to movies and TV shows.

Design and Suggestions

Design wise the website has a very basic but not boring look. A categorized most downloaded list would have been more helpful in finding content. Overall I would recommend redesigning the search results page as it is very messy and does not help in listing files in any kind of way.

The Site

Theparadox.com is a forum where users from around the world can ask questions, share the latest news and events in their proximity and acquire assistance from a large community of bloggers and internet users that have a vast experience at their disposal. The website consolidates the intellect of all its users to create a large directory of information about everything and anything that the users may wish to talk or comment about within the sphere of the rules of the forum. Theparadox.com is nicely regulated and maintained by staff that do not tolerate obscenities or rude gestures.

Functionality

Theparadox.com is a well maintained site that is evident from the range of topics and users that a visitor can find on the website. The website has a category system that makes it easier for the users to find their topic of interest but the search capability of the website is a bit limited, where users have to follow a lot of links before they can land at their desired page or topic. Content and topic wise I was able to find an extensive collection of topics almost in every category, the users on the website also share external links that can be used to download different software, books and music related content, but from the initial experience I was able to understand that the website has a great potential to continue to evolve and grow with time.

All forum-based sites rely heavily on their users to make the page interesting and capture the attention of the users from all over the world. The users are required to register on the website to utilize its full capabilities. The only thing limiting Theparadox.com from reaching its ultimate potential is the number of users, the site has not been able to become mainstream but has been attracting a steady stream of new users that keep the pages and conversation interesting.

Design and Suggestions

Theparadox.com employs a black and white theme that improves the readability of the content available on the site. Overall the website has a nice and refreshing feel to it, where users can share their thoughts and learn a lot about different things that they are interested. The forum is properly maintained and has little questionable material. Design wise the moderators need to take some measures to make it more appealing either by using a better theme or at least employing the whole screen.

As far as tech. websites go, this is a pretty large provider of any kind of application regarding audio and video technology, even to the extent of multimedia and visual communication tools. As one of the few sites that I have stumbled upon with such themes, it seems to provide direct links to each file exclusively through the NitroFlare uploading site.
Functionality
The extensive range of categories to choose from on the left as well as the number of uploads for each category make it easier to understand what one is looking for. At times things may get confusing as categories do not contain subcategories so they might involve one or more specific theme but that can always be helped through the search bar on the top right. The scrolling view of recent uploads in the middle includes a large thumbnail picture of what the file offers, and in cases of pictures, portfolios, and icons also what the file looks like. Just below the thumbnail is a short tag description of the file which helps narrow down your searches for future use, as well as the one and only download link that takes you directly to NitroFlare. Another side box on the right is ‘Preview Community’ which is useful for users who take their time to get familiar with the site, or those who plan on becoming recurrent visitors. However, the one thing I observed is that this site seems somehow directly in business with NitroFlare, as long as they are not offering free downloads. Each download link gives you the same answer: You must be a Premium user of NitroFlare, while on the main page there’s one recurring ad that offers 14 days of NitroFlare for only $7. All in all it’s up to the user, but then again it doesn’t seem like a bad deal for visitor who will find everything they need in here.
Design & Suggestions
A simplistic design always looks more attractive when visiting these kinds of websites. At some point it becomes tiring to have to scroll more and more as you search for an item that takes a few pages to find. In that case it wouldn’t hurt to either add a View More button for each article, or redesign the scrolling view to fit two articles at once. That way no one needs to get tired of looking for their software, and first-time users won’t get discouraged either.

Freshwap.ws is a site that provides a lot of applications, movies, games, music, and a lot of other items for free. It looks okay in its design and it seems to cover a lot of grounds regarding content-rich downloads. Overall the site also looks highly updated with every kind of genre of downloads it offers. As a direct downloading site it is very powerful.
Functionality
The main menu provides all categories to choose from as well as subcategories that activate through mouse hovering. This is a very powerful feature that gives the site an appealing look as well as enables the user to search easily for their content. Just below the categories bar are recent posts and uploads, including the side categories to the right that give useful information to returning user of the site. The categories allow for further analysis of recent uploads and in the case of the returning user, they allow observing of net material that a user might be expecting. The large thumbnails of each content provide a lot of information regarding the quality of the content, including the bar below the picture that shows used tags with which the user can further search or make distinctions between liked and disliked properties of an upload. Direct download links are provided immediately as well as partial downloads for non-premium users.
Design & Suggestions
I appreciate the simplistic design, and yet it is complex in itself. The scalability of the site in terms of different screens tells me that the staff is devoted to making the site look as legit as it is. Upon reducing the screen size, the search bar magically reappears in the middle instead of how it is on the side at wide-screen view. Although that is a very attractive feature, I would still suggest to keep the search bar a little bigger in wide-view as it would be easily noticed. Overall I have no other suggestions and the site is very well maintained by the staff, which shows a certain devotion to making the visitors feel safer with their downloads.

This is a major non-torrenting site with one of the largest databases. The rumor is that if there’s something you cannot find in a torrent site or any other site, this one is most likely to have it. The site is updated daily and in such large quantities that it takes a while to see yesterday’s files. There are thousands of files that you will never find anywhere else and the site is overall suited for an older audience that appreciate older files. It has a range of files from old international movies to old downloadable newspapers.
Functionality
Needless to say that the functionality is something you cannot begin to understand for this site. It’s true that it does not have the recent movies, music, etc. But it is purposely suited for audiences with different tastes. The home page has a search bar that helps you find what you are looking for, as well as advanced searching after the first search. You can choose to categorize any movie search further by its genre, and the same goes for music and such. Users can also register and upload files while the staff of the site takes bad uploads more serious than you would expect. There is also a support system for users who promise to get back to you within 2-3 days. A suggestion before visiting the site: Make sure to have AdBlock, and if you are used to anonymous surfing, you may use a VPN or Proxy to evade log files.
Design and Suggestions
There is nothing to say really about the design as a web-site like this is praised by the older audiences for its usefulness. If you are over old enough to enjoy the things you grew up with, this is your go-to site. Surprisingly, I have no suggestions for this site. This site has been blocked in UK recently

BeeMP3 is a music search engine for locating an mp3-audio files over the Internet. It does not host any mp3 or audio files. It only links to the audio files found on the net. It is like google for audio files. It has around 800K mp3 files in their list and around ten thousand are added daily. They also accept dmca notices and remove files which are shared illegally.
